With a BETONBLOCK® starter kit, you get a concrete block mould and the essential components you need to start producing concrete blocks in one package. The starter kits are designed for both new and experienced concrete producers and are available in two popular sizes. Below, we answer the most frequently asked questions about the contents, possibilities and production capacity of the BETONBLOCK® starter kits.
A starter kit consists of a concrete block mould measuring 160x80x80 cm or 180x60x60 cm, along with a complete set of components to get production started straight away. In addition to the concrete block mould, you receive a matching divider wall, a BETONBLOCK® mould opener, 2 magnets rated at 2.5 tonnes, 4 rubber sleeves rated at 2.5 tonnes, 50 ball-head anchors rated at 2.5 tonnes and 2 universal lifting eyes. The divider wall also allows you to produce half blocks as well as full concrete blocks.
Yes. The starter kit is designed for both producers who want to make concrete blocks for the first time and experienced concrete producers looking to expand their production. As a beginner, you do not need to source the essential components separately, so you can get started with one complete set. For experienced producers, the starter kit is a practical way to add an extra production line or a new concrete block size to their existing operation. In addition, a starter kit offers a saving of €150.
Choosing a starter kit saves you €150 compared with ordering the mould and accessories separately. You receive a concrete block mould and a selection of matching components needed to start producing and handling concrete blocks. This means you do not have to select and order every product individually. The kit also includes components for different stages of the production process, from making half blocks with a divider wall to placing anchors and lifting the finished concrete blocks. If you want to expand your production later, you can easily add more moulds, anchors and accessories.
The BETONBLOCK® starter kits are available in two popular sizes: 160x80x80 cm and 180x60x60 cm. These dimensions refer to the size of the full concrete block you can produce with the supplied mould. Both kits include a matching divider wall, allowing you to produce shorter blocks as well as full blocks. The most suitable size depends on the concrete blocks you want to produce and the applications for which you intend to use them.
In addition to the concrete block mould and divider wall, the starter kit includes a mould opener, 2 magnets rated at 2.5 tonnes, 4 rubber sleeves rated at 2.5 tonnes, 50 ball-head anchors rated at 2.5 tonnes and 2 universal lifting eyes. This gives you immediate access to several essential components for producing, demoulding and moving concrete blocks. Products such as additional anchors, a lifting chain, release oil, a finishing screed and form liners are not included as standard, but can be added separately.
The concrete block mould is designed for repeated use, allowing you to produce large numbers of concrete blocks throughout its service life. The number of blocks you can make using the supplied lifting anchors depends on the number of anchors included in the kit and how many anchors you use per block. For the 160x80x80 cm starter kit, BETONBLOCK® states that the supplied materials are sufficient for 25 full blocks measuring 160x80x80 cm or 50 half blocks measuring 80x80x80 cm. You can then easily order additional ball-head anchors to continue production.
A starter kit is primarily intended to provide a practical way to start producing concrete blocks or expand existing production. Actual production capacity depends not only on the mould, but also on factors such as the concrete curing time, the number of available moulds, your concrete production capacity and the way you demould and move the blocks. If you want to produce more blocks per production cycle, you can expand the set with additional concrete block moulds and accessories. A concrete block mould can be reused every day.
BETONBLOCK® provides instructions for various stages of concrete block production, including pouring concrete blocks and positioning anchors. These instructions help you understand how different components of the starter kit are used during the production process. If you have specific questions about the mould, divider wall, magnets, anchors or lifting equipment included in the kit, you can also contact BETONBLOCK® for advice on their correct use.
