When should I choose the LTM and when should I choose the LTM XL tilting mechanism?

The choice mainly depends on the size of the concrete slab. The standard LTM is intended for concrete slabs measuring 200x200 cm. For larger concrete slabs measuring 300x200 cm, BETONBLOCK® offers the more robust LTM XL. Therefore, always choose the tilting mechanism that matches the dimensions of the concrete slab you want to handle.

What concrete slab sizes are the LTM and LTM XL suitable for?

BETONBLOCK® offers two versions for different slab sizes. The LTM is designed for concrete slabs measuring 200x200 cm, while the LTM XL is intended for larger slabs measuring 300x200 cm. This allows the handling equipment to be matched to the size of the concrete slab you produce.

How do I attach the tilting mechanism to a forklift?

Both the LTM and LTM XL are mounted directly onto the forks of a suitable forklift. This allows the forklift to be used for handling, turning and positioning the concrete slab. Before use, always check that the tilting mechanism is correctly attached and that the forklift, mechanism and concrete slab are suitable for the planned operation.

How do I turn an upside-down cast concrete slab into the correct position?

Concrete slabs are cast upside down. Once the concrete has hardened sufficiently, the slab can be turned in a controlled manner using the chains of the LTM or LTM XL, so that the neatly finished top surface faces upwards. The tilting mechanism therefore simplifies handling between production and the final positioning of the concrete slab. Always follow the operating and safety instructions of the system being used during turning.

Can I extend the LTM or LTM XL with additional lifting hooks?

Yes. Separately available lifting hooks are offered for the LTM and LTM XL. These can be used to connect to adapted lifting profiles that are incorporated into the concrete slab during casting. This allows the tilting mechanism to be matched to the lifting configuration being used.
