Simplify Handling Concrete Slabs with BETONBLOCK® Tilt Mechanisms

BETONBLOCK® introduces an innovative solution for handling concrete slabs: our Lift & Turn Mechanism (LTM) and Lift & Turn Mechanism XL (LTMXL). These mechanisms are specially designed to facilitate the transport and positioning of concrete slabs, allowing you to work more efficiently.

Concrete Slab Mould Tilt Mechanism (LTM)

The LTM offers a practical solution for safely turning concrete slabs. Easily attachable to forklift forks, the LTM allows you to turn slabs that have been cast upside down, so the finished side is on top. This mechanism is ideal for standard-sized slabs and ensures a streamlined process.

Concrete Slab Mould Tilt Mechanism XL (LTMXL)

For larger concrete slabs, we offer the LTMXL, a more robust version of our standard tilt mechanism. It also attaches directly to forklift forks and allows larger slabs to be turned efficiently. Like the standard version, the LTMXL can be equipped with special lifting hooks for added versatility.

Features and Benefits

  1. Direct attachment to forklift forks for convenience and efficiency.
  2. Safe and easy to use, reducing the risk of slab damage.
  3. Customisable with separately available lifting hooks for tailored lifting profiles.

With BETONBLOCK® tilt mechanisms, moving and positioning concrete slabs becomes easier than ever before. These innovative tools are designed to complete your projects faster and with less effort.

Frequently asked questions about handling equipment for concrete slabs

Betonblock® offers the Lift & Turn Mechanism (LTM) and the larger LTMXL for turning and positioning concrete slabs. Both mechanisms attach directly to the forks of a forklift and are designed to turn slabs that have been cast upside down. Below, we answer the most frequently asked questions about choosing and using this handling equipment.

When should I choose the LTM and when should I choose the LTMXL?

The choice mainly depends on the size of the concrete slab. The standard LTM is intended for concrete slabs measuring 200x200 cm. For larger 300x200 cm concrete slabs, Betonblock® offers the more robust LTMXL. Always select the turning mechanism that corresponds to the dimensions of the slab you need to handle.

Which concrete slab sizes are the LTM and LTMXL suitable for?

Betonblock® offers two versions for different slab sizes. The LTM is designed for 200x200 cm concrete slabs, while the LTMXL is intended for larger 300x200 cm slabs. Choosing the corresponding model allows the handling equipment to be matched to the slab dimensions.

How do I attach the turning mechanism to a forklift?

Both the LTM and LTMXL attach directly to the forks of a suitable forklift. This allows the forklift to be used when handling, turning and positioning the concrete slab. Before use, always check that the mechanism is correctly attached and that the forklift, turning mechanism and concrete slab are suitable for the intended handling operation.

How do I turn an upside-down cast concrete slab into the correct position?

Concrete slabs are cast upside down. Once the concrete has cured sufficiently, the LTM or LTMXL can be used with its chains to turn the slab in a controlled manner so that the neat finished surface faces upwards. The mechanism therefore simplifies the handling step between production and final positioning of the slab. Always follow the operating and safety instructions for the equipment when turning concrete slabs.

Can I equip the LTM or LTMXL with additional lifting hooks?

Yes. Separate lifting hooks are available for the LTM and LTMXL. These hooks can be used to connect to adapted lifting profiles that are cast into the concrete slab during production. This allows the mechanism to be adapted to the lifting configuration being used. Always make sure that the hooks, lifting profiles and other components are compatible and suitable for the concrete slab being handled.
