BETONBLOCK®: LIFTING EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES FOR RETAINING WALLS

At BETONBLOCK®, we understand that efficiency and safety are paramount in the construction industry. That's why we offer a range of lifting equipment and accessories specifically designed for handling retaining walls. Our products ensure safe and smooth operation on your construction site, without the need for hydraulic connections.

Retaining Wall Lifting Systems

  1. Concrete Block Anchor Magnets and Sleeves: our magnets facilitate the safe and efficient lifting of retaining walls by allowing ball head anchors to be cast into the barriers. The rubber sleeves create space around the head of the ball head anchors, making it possible to lift the barriers with these anchors. Available in 2.5T and 5T variants, they provide a firm grip and are easy to attach and remove.
  2. Ball Head Anchors: these anchors are designed for lifting retaining walls with our universal lifting hooks. Available in 2.5T and 5T options, with discounts on large orders above a minimum order quantity.
  3. Universal Lifting Hooks: our lifting hooks are essential for using ball head anchors and are available in 2.5T and 5T variants. They offer a safe and reliable method for handling heavy construction materials.

Safety and Efficiency First

At BETONBLOCK®, your safety is our top priority. That's why all our lifting equipment and accessories are designed and tested to meet the highest safety standards. With our products, you can move retaining walls and concrete blocks safely, efficiently, and without worry.

Frequently asked questions about lifting equipment for retaining walls

For the safe lifting and positioning of concrete retaining walls, BETONBLOCK® offers various solutions. The range includes special 3T and 5T retaining wall clamps and a lifting system with anchor magnets, rubber recess formers, spherical head anchors and universal lifting clutches in 2.5T and 5T versions. Which solution is suitable depends, among other things, on the weight, dimensions and the way you want to lift the retaining wall.

What is the difference between the 3T and 5T retaining wall clamp?

The main difference is the maximum lifting capacity and clamping range. The 3T retaining wall clamp from BETONBLOCK® has a maximum lifting capacity of 3,100 kg and weighs 35 kg. The 5T version is intended for heavier retaining walls and can lift a maximum of 5,000 kg. In addition, the 5T clamp has a larger clamping range and a greater clamping depth.

Which retaining wall clamp do I need for my L-shaped retaining wall?

The correct choice depends on the weight and dimensions of the retaining wall.

The 3T clamp has the following characteristics:

CL3T specifications:

  • Clamping range: 70-110 / 110-150
  • Max. gripping depth: 300 mm
  • Width: 200 mm
  • Max. lifting capacity: 3,100 kg
  • Dead weight: 35 kg

The 3T clamp may be suitable for elements that fall within the permitted lifting capacity, while heavier or larger retaining walls may require the 5T version.

The 5T clamp has the following characteristics:

CL5T specifications:

  • Clamping range: 80-115 / 120-160
  • Max. gripping depth: 750 mm
  • Width: 250 mm
  • Max. lifting capacity: 5,000 kg
  • Dead weight: 100 kg

Therefore, always determine the actual weight of the concrete retaining wall before lifting and check that it is within the maximum lifting capacity of the selected clamp.

How does a retaining wall clamp work and why is no hydraulic connection required?

The retaining wall clamp works mechanically and uses the dead weight of the concrete retaining wall to generate sufficient clamping force during lifting. As a result, no separate hydraulic connection is required. The clamp is placed on the retaining wall and grips it as it is lifted. Before every lifting operation, check that the clamp is positioned correctly and has sufficient grip on the concrete element.

When should I choose a retaining wall clamp and when should I use spherical head anchors with universal lifting clutches?

A retaining wall clamp is practical when you want to grip the hardened retaining wall externally and move it directly. A system with spherical head anchors is integrated into the retaining wall during production. The cast-in anchors form fixed lifting points to which suitable universal lifting clutches can be connected once the concrete has hardened sufficiently. Which method is most suitable depends on your production process and how you want to handle the retaining wall.

How do I use anchor magnets, rubber recess formers and spherical head anchors when producing a retaining wall?

The anchor magnet is attached at the desired position in the mould and holds the spherical head anchor in place during casting. The rubber recess former creates sufficient space around the head of the anchor. During casting, the spherical head anchor is embedded in the retaining wall. Once the concrete has hardened sufficiently, a suitable universal lifting clutch can be connected to the anchor to lift and position the retaining wall.

Which 2.5T or 5T version of the lifting system do I need for my retaining wall?

The correct load class depends on the weight of the retaining wall, the number and position of the lifting points and how the load is distributed during lifting. BETONBLOCK® offers anchor magnets, rubber recess formers, spherical head anchors and universal lifting clutches in 2.5T and 5T versions. Use at least two 2.5T anchors. Always use mutually compatible components from the same appropriate system class and adapt the complete lifting configuration to the relevant retaining wall.
